Plato's Definition of Knowledge

In order for someone to know something, it has to be true, they have to believe it is, and it has to be justified.


Theories to Justify Something

Correspondance
To justify something by comparing it with something that has happened in the past, so because something has happened before, it will happen again.

Pragmatic
This is when something is justified by your beliefs.

Coherence
By definition

How to know if something is true

Pie:
Public; whether or not society believes it.
Independant; whether or not you believe it.
Eternal; whether it will changue in time.

If all these requirements are met, you have a universal truth that will be true no matter what.
